Senior Student At Nchiraa SHS Caught On Camera Landing Dirty Slaps On  His Junior’s Face Over Missing Phone

A senior student of Nchiraa Senior High School in the Bono Region has been captured on video physically assaulting a junior student in a confrontation reportedly triggered by a dispute over a missing mobile phone.

The footage shows two students in the school’s blue uniform, with the senior student apparently confronting the junior in what witnesses say was a personal attempt to resolve the phone dispute outside of official school channels.

According to accounts accompanying the footage, the senior student bypassed school authorities entirely and chose to handle the matter directly, an approach that resulted in the physical assault of the younger student.

The video has drawn widespread condemnation online, with many calling on the school’s administration and the Ghana Education Service to take disciplinary action against the senior student involved.

School bullying, particularly the abuse of the senior-junior hierarchy in Ghanaian secondary schools has been a persistent concern for education authorities and child rights advocates, who have repeatedly called for stronger enforcement of anti-bullying policies across the country.

The Ghana Education Service’s code of conduct for students prohibits physical violence and intimidation, and school authorities are required to investigate and sanction such conduct when it occurs.

Nchiraa Senior High School has not issued a statement on the incident.
