An Accra Circuit Court has remanded a 45-year-old driver, Theophilus Terkpernor, into custody over allegations that he stole GH¢750,000 from his employer, a lawyer based in Accra.

Court proceedings indicate that the accused allegedly broke into his employer’s office at Adabraka on May 26, 2026. He is said to have damaged the electrical control unit, cut cables, and forced open the office door lock during the incident.

Investigators also claim the driver was arrested after attempting to deposit GH¢74,400 into a bank account as payment for a Toyota Corolla he had reportedly purchased.

The accused works as a driver for the lawyer, and both men reportedly reside in Lapaz in Accra.

The court has remanded him into custody while investigations continue into the alleged theft.
