Young Man D!es After Allegedly St@bbing Himself To Demonstrate Spiritual Powers

A young man identified only as Sheihu, believed to be in his early twenties, has reportedly died after allegedly stabbing himself while attempting to demonstrate what he claimed were supernatural powers during a public event in Ghana.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, in Salaga, located in the East Gonja Municipality of the Savannah Region, during activities organised by local youths to commemorate the annual Fire Festival.

According to eyewitnesses, the deceased stepped before a crowd and allegedly used a knife on himself in what observers described as an attempt to prove he possessed extraordinary spiritual abilities.

The stunt reportedly went wrong after he sustained critical injuries from the self-inflicted stab wound, leaving spectators in panic.

He was immediately rushed to the Salaga Government Hospital, where medical personnel made efforts to save his life. However, he was later pronounced dead.

The incident has left residents of the community shocked, with many expressing grief over the loss and raising concerns about the dangers of attempting risky public demonstrations in the name of spiritual or supernatural powers.
