Why Tinubu Relocated During Buhari’s Govt – Oshiomhole

Senator representing Edo North at the National Assembly, Adams Oshiomhole, has said President Bola Tinubu relocated from Nigeria during the administration of the late former President, Muhammadu Buhari, to avoid humiliation arising from some policies.

Naija News reports that Oshiomhole made this known during an interview on ‘The Mic On Podcast’ on Sunday.

The former Governor of Edo State also said that Tinubu stood with Buhari despite being shut out by the government.

According to Oshiomhole, Tinubu, who was then the national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), was not comfortable with certain policies and the appointments made during Buhari’s administration.

He said, “Tinubu stood with Buhari even when he was ignored. Tinubu relocated so that he can be free from humiliation raising from either choice of policy, appointment of people and some of the decisions that Buhari was taking.

“Remember that the first pronouncement of Buhari was that I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody”.

Meanwhile, Oshiomhole has claimed that many senators in the 10th National Assembly are not satisfied with the leadership style of Senate President Godswill Akpabio.

Oshiomhole made the claim in response to a question about becoming a threat to Akpabio.

The former Governor of Edo State said the Senate President is paranoid about everything, and if he had the means, he would have locked him out of the Senate.

Oshiomhole, however, warned that the situation is not just about him, and several other lawmakers are also disenchanted with Akpabio’s leadership style.

According to him, Akpabio should be ready to face a much different Senate after the 2027 elections when the 11th National Assembly emerges.
