Claim Ghanaian Businessman Jibril Baron Arrested in Morocco Over Alleged U.S. Fraud Investigation

Reports from Morocco suggest that a Ghanaian businessman believed to be Jibril Baron, Chairman and CEO of Star Drive Estate, has reportedly been arrested in the country.

According to Moroccan media reports, a 40-year-old Ghanaian national wanted by U.S. authorities over alleged fraud and money laundering offenses was arrested upon arrival at Mohammed V International Airport.

The report claims the arrest was made after a routine security check allegedly revealed an Interpol Red Notice issued at the request of U.S. judicial authorities.

Although Moroccan authorities have not officially disclosed the identity of the suspect, social media reports and entertainment blogger SelTheB have claimed that the individual is Jibril Baron.

The businessman is reportedly wanted by U.S. authorities in connection with an ongoing investigation. However, no official details of the alleged offenses have been publicly released.

As of now, neither Moroccan authorities, Interpol, U.S. authorities, nor Jibril Baron have publicly confirmed the reports.

The claims remain unverified, and official confirmation is still being awaited from the relevant authorities.
