‘World’s sexiest female footballer’ Alisha Lehmann engaged to Love Island star Montel

Footballer Alisha Lehmann and reality TV star Montel McKenzie have announced their engagement after Montel proposed during a beach holiday.

Lehmann, who plays for Leicester City Women and the Swiss national team, shared photographs of the proposal on social media, showing the moment Montel got down on one knee before presenting her with an engagement ring. Accompanying the images, she wrote: “Forever & Always.”

The couple, who made their relationship public in January, celebrated the engagement with friends and fans, with several former Love Island contestants congratulating them online.

Engagement speculation had first emerged in May after the pair were seen visiting a jewellery store together. At the time, reports suggested they were not engaged, but the latest announcement has confirmed their plans to marry. Lehmann, 27, currently manages MVPs United in the Baller League, where Montel, 28, is a player. Their relationship has attracted significant attention since becoming public earlier this year.

Before dating McKenzie, Lehmann was in a long-term relationship with Brazilian footballer Douglas Luiz. The pair spent four years together before separating in 2024. Both later joined Italian club Juventus, where Lehmann helped the women’s team win the Serie A title.

McKenzie rose to fame after appearing on Love Island in 2023, where he was coupled with Leah Taylor before leaving the show. He later returned for the All Stars edition in 2025. The engagement marks a new chapter for the couple, whose relationship has progressed rapidly since they began dating.
