Why didn't he resign when Anambra experienced catastrophic insecurity?- Nasarawa gov takes on Peter Obi over calls for President Tinubu to resign
The governor of Nasarawa state, Abdullahi Sule, has tackled Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his recent calls for President Tinubu to resign over heightened insecurity, economic hardship, and failure to deliver on electoral promises.
On Monday, June 22, Obi asked President Tinubu to follow in the footsteps of UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer and resign from office. Read here.
Reacting to Obi’s call, Governor Sule said the former Anambra governor should have resigned from office when the state suffered significant insecurity while he was in charge.
In his words
‘’I think Peter Obi should have resigned at the time we were having some of the most catastrophic security challenges in Anambra state. Why didn’t he resign then? There are times when people just get up and say things in the name of opposition. You don’t just get up and say things because you feel like saying them.
It is an insult for him to even say the President should resign because of security challenges. If he resigns, who solves the problem?
