A young man named Anthony was f@tally sh0t allegedly by police officers while driving a Lexus and his family is seeking justice.
The man was sh0t today, August 29, along Agip by Ada-George Road in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to his sister, the v!ctim was chased down by police officers before he was sh9t at.
According to her account, he was still breathing after the sh00ting, but she claims officers pulled him out of the vehicle and removed his gold chain and rings, then left him on the ground in the rain and drove away in his car.
These claims were made by the sister and has not been backed by any of the videos circulating online.
The v!ctim was found on the road by a stranger who rushed him to the hospital but he did not make it.
Subsequently, youths st0rmed the police station to protest.
Videos shared online show a crowd accusing police of being responsible for the shooting.
“Nigerian police, you people are more cr!minal than the citizens” youths said as they stood in front of a police station to protest the man’s k!lling.
As the outr@ge intensified, police visited the home of the victim’s family and video shows a crowd booing the police officers as they begged the family for calm.
The officers said an aut0psy will be conducted to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the incident.
This statement angered the public as they asked what other aut0psy is needed when the gunsh0t wounds are visible on his body.
The grieving sister is now calling for justice and answers.
