Singer L.A.X officially weds partner

Nigerian singer Damilola Afolabi, popularly known as L.A.X, has legally married his partner, Ella, in a ceremony held in Malta.

The singer announced the wedding on his Instagram page on Wednesday, sharing that the couple tied the knot in what he described as the most beautiful city.

Confirming the union, the singer wrote: “Legally hitched to the love of my life, in the most beautiful city. Malta, you have our hearts.”

The wedding ceremony follows a formal engagement that took place on January 16, 2026.

L.A.X began his music career as a rapper during his secondary school days with a group called Flyboiz before transitioning to a solo artist.

His major breakthrough in the Nigerian music industry came in 2013 with the release of ‘Caro’, a hit collaboration with Wizkid under Starboy Entertainment. The track earned a nomination for Hottest Single of the Year at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Following the success of ‘Caro’, he collaborated with Wizkid on another track, ‘Ginger’, which further solidified his stance in the music industry. The singer subsequently founded his own independent record label, Rasaki Music.
