What was meant to be a colorful cultural celebration turned into a heartbreaking tragedy after a young masquerade performer reportedly lost his life in a shocking road accident during the annual Imo Awka Festival in Awka, Anambra State.

According to reports, the incident happened along the busy Arthur Eze Avenue when a commercial tricycle, popularly known as a Keke NAPEP, allegedly rammed into a masquerade performer who was actively taking part in the festivities.
