In a discussion on Trust TV, Ahmed argued that Nigeria should not simply refer to such criminal groups as bandits, suggesting they ought to be considered organized factions that pose a serious threat to the country’s security. He expressed concerns about the rising insecurity across Nigeria and questioned why the Nigerian military, which he described as one of the best globally, has struggled to tackle this problem effectively.
