‘Old fool, you are wack’- Seyi Vibez blasts Adekunle Gold over ‘Fuji Moto’ lyrics

Controversy has erupted between Nigerian music stars Seyi Vibez and Adekunle Gold following the release of the latter’s deluxe project, Fuji Xtra.

The drama started after Adekunle Gold dropped his new track “Life of the Faaji” from the project on Friday, which included the line: “They love my fuji, this no be Fuji Moto.”

The line quickly sparked online reactions, with many listeners interpreting it as a jab at Seyi Vibez’s Fuji Moto album, released in late 2025. Fans immediately began to speculate about the subtle feud between the two artists.

Responding to the perceived slight, Seyi Vibez took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his frustration, calling out Gold as “wack” and mocking his style. Vibez wrote, “Adekunle Gold you’re wack. And your swag is wack. Old fool!”

The feud didn’t stop there, as Vibez continued with more insults: “Adekunle panda Egbon ofo! Egbon ya.”

The rivalry between the two stars has been simmering for some time. In 2025, Adekunle Gold released Fuji, an album blending Fuji rhythms with Afrobeats and pop influences. Not long after, Seyi Vibez followed up with Fuji Moto, a project that also embraced Fuji-inspired street-pop sounds, sparking a comparison between the two albums among their fanbases.

As of now, Adekunle Gold has not publicly responded to Vibez’s remarks.
