NA: Their Feeding Allowance Used To Be N1,500 Before Gov’t Doubled It; How Much Is N3,000-Ndume

The feeding allotment of Nigerian soldiers is inadequate, according to Senator Ali Ndume, who is concerned about the conditions in which the troops operate in combat zones.

On Friday, 26 June 2026, during an interview with Trust TV, the senator representing Borno South emphasised the need of prioritising the wellbeing of military troops in the fight against insecurity. He pointed out that the present government has done something to boost troops’ allowances, but it hasn’t been enough to deal with the reality of war on the front lines.

Ndume brought up the daily meal allotment that soldiers get during the interview and said that it isn’t enough to maintain personnel in conflict zones......>>>
