Man R*pes Woman Injured In Car Crash Instead of Taking Her To The Hospital
A 40-year-old man has been arrested and charged with sexual battery after allegedly assaulting a woman who had been injured in a car accident.
According to investigators, Brenden Lee Jones, also known as “Twin,” was taken into custody following an investigation into an incident that reportedly occurred on September 15, 2023.
Police say Jones was driving with the victim, who was staying at a homeless shelter in Lauderhill, when their vehicle was rear-ended.
Authorities allege that Jones left the crash scene instead of remaining there. After a friend picked them up, the injured woman repeatedly asked for medical treatment because she was in severe pain and struggling to move.
Investigators claim that rather than taking her to a hospital, Jones brought her to his home, where she later fell asleep while resting in his bed.
According to police, the woman later woke up and alleged that Jones was sexually assaulting her. Investigators say she repeatedly told him to stop, but he ignored her objections.
The victim later reported the incident to law enforcement, leading to a criminal investigation.
Detectives say DNA evidence collected during a sexual assault examination matched Jones, providing key evidence in the case.
Jones was subsequently arrested and charged with sexual battery. Reports indicate that he is being held on a $150,000 bond.
Prosecutors allege that the suspect took advantage of a woman who was injured, vulnerable, and seeking help following a traumatic accident, rather than ensuring she received medical attention.
The allegations remain accusations, and Jones is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in court.
