Man Left Humiliated After Girlfriend Publicly Rejects Marriage Proposal in Nairobi CBD

A Kenyan man has been left deeply embarrassed after his girlfriend publicly rejected his marriage proposal in the Central Business District of Nairobi, in an incident that has since gone viral on social media.

In a video at our disposal, the man knelt before his girlfriend in a public setting, presenting her with flowers in what was intended to be a romantic gesture.

The woman was in the company of her friends at the time, making the moment and its outcome visible to a considerable audience.

Rather than accepting the proposal, the woman appeared visibly uncomfortable and expressed her dissatisfaction openly.

The man remained on his knees for an extended period, reportedly hoping she would change her mind. She did not.

The incident took a particularly striking turn when the woman even failed to accept the flowers being presented to by her the guy. Eventually, the guy had to stand up and leave the scene feeling embarrassed and visibly frustrated.

The couple had reportedly been dating for only three months at the time of the proposal and now, the video of the incident has attracted widespread commentary online, with many questioning the wisdom of a public proposal after such a short period of courtship, while others expressed sympathy for the man’s public humiliation.
