Idahosa seeks divine guidance, receives AAU delegation

BENIN CITY – Edo State Deputy Governor, Hon. Dennis Idahosa, has sought divine guidance for himself and his guests as he received a condolence visit from the management and staff of Ambrose Alli University (AAU), Ekpoma.

Speaking at the Government House in Benin City, Idahosa prayed that God would guide them in impacting society and leaving lasting legacies in Edo State.

“May God continually use us to better the lives of Edo people,” he said.

The delegation, led by the Vice Chancellor, Professor Eunice Eboserehimen, was at the Government House to condole with the deputy governor over the death of his mother, Madam Esther Imaguomwanruo Idahosa.

Idahosa described his late mother as a unifier and a pillar of peace in the family, as well as his personal bedrock and prayer partner, and thanked the university community for the visit.

In her remarks, Professor Eboserehimen noted the significance of parental prayers and their enduring impact across generations, adding that the late matriarch lived a fulfilled life.

The Vice Chancellor presented a gift to the family and assured them of the university’s support during the burial rites.

Also speaking, the Commissioner for Livestock Development, Professor Ikponmwonsa Omorodion, who addressed the gathering in both family and academic capacities, appreciated the delegation for their solidarity.

He reaffirmed AAU’s reputation as a centre of academic excellence and expressed optimism that ongoing efforts by Governor Monday Okpebholo would address security concerns in Ekpoma and create a conducive environment for learning and development.
