The incident, which triggered national outrage over a decade ago, involved a Bombardier Challenger 601 intercept by South African customs officials at Lanseria International Airport with $9.3 million in undeclared, cold hard cash stashed in three suitcases.

It was later revealed the money belonged to the Nigerian government under President Goodluck Jonathan, intended for an emergency black-market weapons purchase for intelligence services battling Boko Haram.
Oritsejafor broke down the logistics that detached him from the flight, clarifying that the crushing financial realities of owning a private aircraft forced him to commercialize the asset.
