Haji4Real Among 30 Ghanaians Listed in US Deportation Crackdown

The United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has released details of 355 West African nationals who are either facing deportation or have already been deported, including 30 Ghanaians.

The list, published by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS), contains the names, photographs, and alleged crimes linked to the affected individuals.

According to DHS, the publication forms part of efforts to highlight individuals accused or convicted of serious criminal offences.

“The U.S. Department of Homeland Security is highlighting the worst of the worst criminal aliens arrested by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

“Under DHS leadership, the hardworking men and women of DHS and ICE are fulfilling President Trump’s promise and carrying out mass deportations — starting with the worst of the worst — including the illegal aliens you see here,” the statement accompanying the list said.

Among the Ghanaians named on the list is Ghanaian socialite and musician Mona Montrage, popularly known as Haji4Real, who has already been deported to Ghana.

According to the information released by ICE, Haji4Real was listed in connection with a fraud-related offence and was arrested in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.

The publication of the list has generated discussions online, particularly among Ghanaians, following the inclusion of several nationals in the ongoing deportation exercise.

The U.S. government says the operation is part of broader immigration enforcement efforts targeting foreign nationals accused or convicted of serious crimes.

Authorities have not yet released further details on the remaining Ghanaian nationals included on the list.
