Go Home And Eat Your Mother’s Food — GES “Deals” With Teacher Who Was Caught ‘Doing It’ With Student At Science Lab

The Ghana Education Service (GES) has initiated disciplinary action and ordered the interdiction of a teacher at Bole Senior High School in the Savannah Region following the circulation of an alleged video involving sexual misconduct with a student.

In an official statement issued by its Public Relations Unit and signed by its Head, Daniel Fenyi, the Service said it had become aware of a disturbing video circulating on social media which allegedly shows inappropriate conduct between a teacher and a final-year student in the school.

The GES stated that it has launched a full-scale investigation into the matter to establish the facts surrounding the incident and the identities of those involved.

Pending the outcome of the investigation, management has directed that the teacher be interdicted in accordance with established GES rules and regulations.

The Service strongly condemned any form of inappropriate relationship between teachers and students, reiterating its zero-tolerance stance on sexual misconduct within educational institutions.

According to the statement, GES remains committed to ensuring the safety, protection, and welfare of students across the country’s educational system, adding that appropriate disciplinary and legal actions will be taken against anyone found culpable.

It further assured the public that the matter is being handled with utmost seriousness and indicated that further updates would be provided as investigations progress.

The development has sparked concern among education stakeholders, with renewed calls for stricter enforcement of professional ethics and safeguarding measures in schools nationwide.
