Elliot made the revelation while speaking on the Morayo Afolabi-Brown Podcast on Tuesday, June 23, 2026. During the conversation, he reflected on the challenges and determination that defined his move from Nollywood into the political arena.
The lawmaker explained that at the time, he was eager to contribute to public service and believed that establishing contact with key political leaders was an important step toward achieving that goal. As a result, he repeatedly sent emails to Fashola, who was serving as governor of Lagos State at the time, in the hope that his messages would be noticed.
