El-Rufai Is A Star Player On Our Team, And We Know He Would Have Contributed A Lot To Us – Abdullahi

In a recent interview on Trust TV, on Monday, June 22, 2026, Bolaji Abdullahi, National Publicity Secretary of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), discussed the political significance of former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai within the opposition coalition and the impact of his absence from political activities.

Abdullahi described El-Rufai as one of the prominent figures within the ADC, noting that the former governor has played an important role in the party’s efforts to strengthen its position ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during the interview, Abdullahi stated, “He is a star player on our team, and we know he would have contributed a lot to us.” He made the comment while responding to questions about whether El-Rufai’s detention had affected the activities of the party.
