BBNaija S11: Abi opens up on emotional side, plans after show
Evicted Big Brother Naija Season 11 housemate Abi has opened up on her persona in the reality TV show, revealing that she struggles with navigating her emotional side in the house.
Abi, while speaking with P.M.NEWS, explained that being surrounded by people who were constantly ready to challenge her forced her to develop a tougher approach.
She stated that she initially found herself constantly defending her actions whenever other housemates confronted her.
“It felt like anytime I said something, there is always someone ready to come at me, ready to tell me, ‘No, it’s not like that,’” she said.
Abi however, added that she eventually stopped trying to explain herself to everyone and decided to accept the consequences of how people perceived her.
“After a while I was just like, you know what? Forget about it. Anybody that thinks I did something, yes, I did it. And now what? You come at me? Bye. People most times don’t see when you are being pushed. It’s only when you push back,” she said.
Abi reflected on her time in the reality TV show and on winning the Head of House title twice, saying she believed the achievement helped some of her fellow housemates take her more seriously.
“I felt like there was a period where people weren’t taking me as seriously as I would like to be taken,” Abi said.
Outside the house, Abi revealed that she intends to explore several interests, including acting, aviation and business.
“I would like to go into a little bit of acting. I would like to go to school, to be a pilot. I want my food to be everywhere. I want to be making money everywhere,” Abi said.
For now, she said her focus is on taking advantage of the opportunities that come with her new platform while remaining open to discovering other interests.
