Arsenal Accept €20m Beşiktaş Bid for Trossard as Belgian Winger Weighs Future Amid Saudi Interest

Premier League giants Arsenal have reportedly agreed to a €20 million offer from Turkish side Beşiktaş for experienced Belgian forward Leandro Trossard, with the player’s personal decision now expected to determine whether the transfer is completed.

The 31-year-old attacker has been the subject of transfer speculation for several months, despite continuing to feature regularly under Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta during the closing stages of last season. While Trossard has remained an important member of the squad, Arsenal are believed to be willing to listen to offers as they continue reshaping their attacking options ahead of the new campaign.

According to reports from Sporx, cited by Football Place, Beşiktaş have stepped up their pursuit of the Belgian international after identifying him as one of their priority transfer targets. Club president Serdal Adalı and sporting director Önder Özen are said to have led negotiations, with the Turkish giants now matching Arsenal’s €20 million asking price.

With an agreement reportedly reached between the two clubs, attention has shifted to discussions with the player. Trossard’s willingness to make the move is now regarded as the final obstacle before the transfer can be completed.

However, Beşiktaş are not the only club interested in securing the versatile forward’s signature. Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Diraiyah are also understood to be in the race and have reportedly presented a more financially attractive proposal.

Reports suggest the Saudi club is prepared to offer Trossard an annual net salary of approximately €10 million, significantly higher than the reported €7 million per season Beşiktaş are willing to pay. The lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia could complicate the Turkish club’s efforts to convince the Belgian to join them.

Despite Trossard’s continued importance to the squad, Arsenal’s hierarchy reportedly believe that receiving €20 million for a player entering the latter phase of his career represents good value. The transfer fee could also provide additional funds as the North London club continues strengthening key areas of the squad during the summer transfer window.

For now, no final decision has been made. Trossard is currently away on international duty with Belgium at the World Cup and is expected to delay making a choice on his club future until after the tournament concludes.

Once the competition ends, the experienced winger is expected to assess his options before deciding whether to continue his career in Turkey, accept the lucrative Saudi Arabian offer, or remain at Arsenal if no agreement on personal terms is reached.
