Woman Chained for Four Years In A Room by Brother Rescued
A disturbing case has emerged from the Mpape area of Abuja, where a woman was reportedly rescued after allegedly being chained in a room for four years by her own brother.
According to community reports, the siblings were involved in a dispute over a cement business they jointly operated. The brother allegedly claimed that his sister was mentally unstable and used the allegation to take control of the business.
Residents say the woman was then locked inside a dark room, chained to one spot, and left without proper care, adequate food, or access to sunlight.
The shocking situation reportedly came to light when a man fetching water nearby heard unusual noises coming from the property and alerted others.
Concerned neighbours later forced their way into the room and allegedly found the woman in a terrible condition. Witnesses said she appeared extremely thin, weak, and unable to stand on her own.
She was reportedly sitting among dirt and rubble after years of confinement.
Following the rescue, the woman was taken to a hospital for urgent medical treatment and evaluation.
Authorities have reportedly launched an investigation into the incident to determine the full circumstances surrounding the allegations and establish any potential criminal responsibility.
The claims have sparked outrage on social media, with many people calling for justice and demanding a thorough investigation into the woman’s alleged treatment.
