Why I stopped going to church – Nicki Minaj

American rapper Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty, popularly known as Nicki Minaj, has spoken on why she stopped attending church services.

While speaking on the Bryce Crawford podcast, Nicki Minaj revealed that she stopped going to church after she became successful in the music industry.

She clarified that prior to popular claims, she did not quit church because of the fame but because her career required her to work on weekends.

“Once my career started taking off, I stopped going to church. I was working on Friday nights and Saturday nights, so the last thing I could do was wake up on Sunday mornings to go to church,” she said.

She noted that she still, however, has a good relationship with God.
