VIDEO: Enugu Women Stage Protest Against S£x Workers, Accuse Them Of Taking Over Their Husbands And Sons

A group of women in Elugwu Akwu community, Oji Local Government Area of Enugu State, on Tuesday, June 16, staged a protest against the activities of alleged sex workers operating in the area.

The women, who marched through parts of the community carrying placards, expressed concerns over what they described as the negative impact of the activities of the women on families and relationships within the community.

During the protest, the demonstrators claimed that some marriages were being affected, alleging that their husbands were becoming less committed to their homes due to the presence of commercial sex workers in the area.

Some of the protesters used humorous expressions while voicing their complaints, with one of the statements attracting attention online, as they claimed their husbands were no longer “manhandling their waists” because of the alleged activities of “ashawos” in Elugwu Akwu.

The demonstration has since sparked reactions on social media, with users sharing different opinions about the concerns raised by the women.

While some expressed support for the protesters and called for authorities to investigate the situation, others debated the broader social and economic issues surrounding commercial sex work and community relations.
