Trump blasts ‘Dumocrats’ as Iran deal hangs in the balance
Donald Trump asserted on Monday that Iran is eager to strike a deal with the United States, which he believes would be beneficial for Washington and its allies, despite the protests of “Dumocrats.”
This declaration came just hours after the U.S. military reported striking Iranian military sites over the weekend, prompting Iran’s Revolutionary Guards to claim a retaliatory attack on a U.S. base.
These exchanges mark the latest escalation amid ongoing negotiations to resolve a three-month-old conflict.
Writing on Truth Social an hour after midnight, Trump said, “Iran really wants to make a deal, and it will be a good one for the U.S.A. and those that are with us.”
However, he also expressed frustration, suggesting that political commentary surrounding the conflict complicated his ability to negotiate effectively with Iran.
The commander-in-chief made references to “Dumocrats” and “unpatriotic Republicans” in the early morning message.
“… it is MUCH tougher for me to properly do my job and negotiate, when political hacks keep negatively ‘chirping,’ at levels never seen before, over and over again, that I should move faster, or move slower, or go to war, or not go to war, or whatever,” the president added.

He concluded his post with a reassuring message: “Just sit back and relax, it will all work out well in the end – It always does!”
Trump indicated on Friday that he would soon make a decision regarding a proposed deal to extend the ceasefire with Iran.
In an interview with his daughter-in-law Lara Trump on Fox News over the weekend, Trump said his administration’s strikes have not targeted the Iranian military.
“Their military, we’ve sort of left it alone, because we think that their military is somewhat, somewhat moderate….We’ve actually left their military alone. People would be surprised to hear that,” he said.
This contradicts numerous statements made by the president since the war began, in which he claimed to have decimated Tehran’s military capabilities.
