Top 10 EPL Goalscorers For 2025/26 Season As Haaland Wins Third EPL Golden Boot

Manchester City striker, Erling Haaland, has won the English Premier League (EPL) Golden Boot for the 2025/26 season after finishing as the highest goalscorer in the English top flight.

Naija News reports that the Norwegian forward scored 27 goals in 35 league appearances to claim the award for the third time in four seasons at Manchester City.

Haaland finished five goals ahead of Brentford striker Igor Thiago, who ended the campaign with 22 goals after an impressive season that earned him a place in Brazil’s World Cup squad.

With his latest Golden Boot triumph, Haaland has joined Alan Shearer and Harry Kane as three-time winners of the award in the Premier League era.

He now trails only Mohamed Salah and Thierry Henry, who have each won the award four times.

The 25-year-old had earlier won the prize in his first two seasons at Manchester City before reclaiming it in the 2025/26 campaign.

Despite Haaland’s goalscoring form, Manchester City fell short in their bid to deny Arsenal the Premier League title.

City ended the season with a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa on Sunday, with Haaland left out of the squad as the club marked the end of Pep Guardiola’s trophy-laden 10-year reign in his final match as manager.

Arsenal were eventually crowned champions for the first time in 22 years after City dropped crucial points in the closing stages of the season.

Haaland started the season in blistering fashion, scoring 19 of his 27 Premier League goals in the first 17 games.

His early-season form kept City firmly in the title race and underlined his importance to Guardiola’s side.

However, a rare lean spell around the turn of the year proved costly for the champions.

During that period, Haaland scored just once in seven games, a penalty against Brighton, while City managed only two wins in the run.

That difficult spell allowed their title rivals to gain ground at a crucial stage of the campaign.

Haaland later returned to form as City made a late push for the title.

He scored the winner away to Liverpool and also found the net against Arsenal in a match billed as a title-decider last month.

But even with Haaland scoring in key matches, City failed to maintain full control of the title race.

Dropped points against Everton and Bournemouth ultimately helped Arsenal move clear and secure the league title.

Haaland’s latest Golden Boot confirms his place among the Premier League’s most consistent finishers, even in a season where City missed out on the title.
