This is a terrible way to repay her – Nigerian man narrates how woman who pays house rent returned home unexpectedly to find her unemployed husband with another lady

A Nigerian X user, Muna, has narrated how a fight ensued in the house next to his after a woman returned home unexpectedly to find her unemployed husband with another lady.

Muna, who shared the story on Sunday, June 14, 2026, said the incident is deeply painful because the woman has been the one carrying the financial load in the family, including house rent. 

According to him, the woman had taken the kids to their grandmother’s house on Thursday with plan to return home on Sunday night.

However, one of the kids fell ill so she brought them back in the morning only to discover that her husband has been housing the woman since they left. 

“A fight is going on in the house next to mine. This lady took her kids to their grandmother’s for the holiday on Thursday. They were supposed to be back tonight, but one of the kids got sick, so she brought them home this morning,” he wrote.

 

“However, her husband has been housing another woman since they left. For a woman who pays the rent and takes care of you while you’re job hunting, this is a terrible way to repay her. Some men need to do better.
