Supervisor Filmed Assaulting Workers Company For Reporting To Work Late And Missing Targets

A video circulating online has sparked widespread outrage after allegedly showing a supervisor physically assaulting employees at a company situated near Chuna Mall in Kitengela, Kenya.

The footage, attributed to the Nairobi Times, shows individuals being beaten on what appears to be a company premises, with workers on the ground while others stand over them.

The scenes have been described as deeply disturbing by those who have viewed and shared the content online.

According to reports accompanying the video, workers at the facility are subjected to physical beatings when they arrive late or fail to meet set production targets.

Employees have further alleged that their mobile phones are confiscated before the assaults take place a detail suggesting the violence is premeditated and intended to prevent documentation.

The allegations, if confirmed, would constitute serious violations of Kenya’s Employment Act, which prohibits degrading treatment of workers and provides clear protections against physical abuse in the workplace.

Such conduct could also attract criminal liability under assault provisions of Kenyan law.
