SHOCKING!!! Man Lives With Giant Bladder Stone for Three Years Before Surgery
A farmer identified as Mr. Chen from western Guangdong has undergone successful surgery after doctors discovered a giant bladder stone that had been causing him pain for nearly three years.
According to reports, the 56-year-old farmer first began experiencing difficulty urinating about three years ago. He reportedly suffered interrupted urination, discomfort, and pain, often needing to change body positions before he could urinate properly.
At first, Chen believed the symptoms were related to common prostate problems and refused to seek medical treatment.
He reportedly continued working on his farm while relying on medication to manage the pain.
However, his condition gradually became worse over time.
Reports indicate that he became afraid of travelling far from home because of the constant urge to urinate and frequently woke up several times at night.
Following pressure from family members, Chen eventually agreed to seek medical attention at the Affiliated Hospital of Guangdong Medical University in Xuwen.
Doctors at the hospital reportedly discovered a massive bladder stone occupying most of his bladder.
According to Lin Yuan, the stone measured about 10 centimetres wide and 13 centimetres long and weighed approximately 1.3 kilograms.
Medical scans showed that the giant stone had almost completely blocked urine flow and was placing dangerous pressure on the bladder walls.
Doctors warned that the condition could eventually have become life-threatening if left untreated.
A multidisciplinary medical team was reportedly assembled to perform a specialised surgery to remove the stone.
The operation was successful, and Chen was finally relieved of the condition after years of suffering.
“If only I had come for treatment three years ago, I wouldn’t have suffered so much for nothing,” Chen reportedly told doctors afterward.
Hospital officials said the stone is believed to be the largest bladder stone ever recorded in Guangdong.
