God That Brought Tinubu To Power Will Solve Nigeria’s Problems— Dave Umahi

Nigeria’s minister of works, David Umahi, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu will continue to receive divine guidance in steering the country through its current challenges and advancing national development.

Speaking on Thursday during an inspection of major bridge projects in Lagos, including the Carter Bridge rehabilitation project slated to commence next week, Umahi said he believes God will sustain and direct the President throughout his administration.

The minister urged Nigerians to support the Federal Government’s efforts to address insecurity and other pressing national concerns, insisting that the administration remains committed to confronting the country’s challenges head-on.

According to him, the same divine providence that enabled Tinubu to emerge as President would also provide solutions to the nation’s difficulties.

“The same God that brought him is going to be there to solve all the problems,” Umahi said.

He noted that every government aspires to govern in peace but must be prepared to respond decisively whenever crises arise.

“There is no leader who will not want his reign to be peaceful, but when crises come, the leader must confront them. That is exactly what we are doing,” he stated.

Umahi further maintained that whether the security challenges facing the country are politically motivated or otherwise, the President would be granted the wisdom, strength and capacity required to overcome them.

The minister also expressed optimism that all infrastructure projects initiated by the current administration would be completed successfully.

“Your hands that have started this will complete it,” he said, while affirming his belief that the Tinubu administration continues to enjoy divine favour and support.

On the reconstruction of Carter Bridge, Umahi disclosed that the project is expected to take about three years to complete, adding that it falls within the Federal Government’s broader five-year infrastructure development plan.

“It is within our five-year plan,” the minister said.
