Notorious bandit leader Audu Lankai has broken his silence on the reported breakdown of a peace agreement between armed groups and communities in Jibia Local Government Area of Katsina State, shedding light on events that allegedly led to renewed violence in the area.

Lankai made the remarks in a video aired by News Central TV where he discussed the circumstances surrounding the collapse of the peace arrangement and the deadly confrontation that followed between members of his group and local vigilantes.

Against this backdrop, Lankai offered his account of the events that unfolded in Jibia, a border community that has faced persistent security challenges over the years.
