Odumodublvck Accuses Chocolate City of Using Police to Target Him, Label Fires Back

Nigerian rapper Tochukwu Ojogwu, popularly known as Odumodublvck, has publicly accused Chocolate City Music of attempting to use law enforcement agencies to intimidate and disrupt his career, allegations the record label has strongly denied.

The outspoken rapper made the claims in a series of posts shared on his X account on Friday, where he alleged that the music company had repeatedly tried to orchestrate his arrest, particularly around key moments in his international touring schedule.

Rapper Alleges Repeated Attempts to Disrupt Tours

According to Odumodublvck, the latest development represents what he described as the ninth failed attempt to target him.

The rapper claimed previous efforts were allegedly made before his tour of the United States and that similar actions were now being taken ahead of his ongoing European engagements.

“9th attempt gone wrong. My motion is peppering them. Chocolate City has been trying to arrest me for the longest time. They tried before my American tour, and now they are trying again with the European tour,” he wrote.

He further alleged that the actions against him stemmed from his decision to expose what he described as misconduct within the organisation.

The musician claimed he had spoken out against an individual he referred to as a sexual abuser and accused the label of attempting to silence him because of those revelations.

Claims of Questionable Police Petition

Odumodublvck also questioned the legitimacy of a petition he said had been sent to him through the police.

According to him, the document lacked basic contact information, including a phone number, raising concerns about the motive behind the invitation.

The rapper suggested that the timing of the petition was suspicious and designed to interfere with his international travel plans.

He further threatened to release copies of previous petitions allegedly sent to him if what he described as harassment continued.

In a series of emotional posts, the artist argued that he was being unfairly targeted despite his growing success in the music industry.

Chocolate City Rejects Allegations

Reacting to the accusations, Chocolate City Music denied any involvement in attempts to arrest the rapper.

Speaking in an interview with Premium Times, Desmond Ezebuiro, Public Relations Lead at Bean Creative IMC, a subsidiary of the Chocolate City Group, stated that the company lacked the authority to arrest anyone.

“Please note that our company does not possess the authority to arrest any individual, as such powers rest with law enforcement agencies and not private entities,” Ezebuiro said.

The company also declined to address the specific allegations raised by the rapper, citing ongoing legal proceedings.

According to the label, the matter is currently before the courts and it would be inappropriate to comment further while the legal process is ongoing.

“We remain committed to due process and will allow the appropriate legal channels to address the issues raised,” the statement added.

Long-Running Dispute

The latest exchange is the newest chapter in an increasingly public dispute between Odumodublvck and the record label.

In December 2025, Chocolate City accused the rapper of allegedly assaulting one of its staff members, Feyi Ajayi, backstage during the Rhythm Unplugged concert.

At the time, the company alleged that the incident formed part of what it described as a pattern of harassment, intimidation, stalking, and physical aggression directed at members of its team.

The label subsequently vowed to pursue legal action over the matter, arguing that the alleged conduct posed a threat to the safety and wellbeing of its employees.

Controversy Continues to Generate Reactions

The fresh allegations have generated widespread reactions across social media, with supporters of both sides weighing in on the controversy.

While Odumodublvck maintains that he is being targeted because of his outspoken nature and rising profile, Chocolate City insists that it is committed to resolving all disputes through lawful and established legal channels.

With both parties standing firmly by their positions and legal proceedings reportedly underway, the dispute appears far from over, leaving fans and industry observers awaiting further developments.
