Love Island producer dies at 40 during filming in Fiji

James Barker, an executive producer on Love Island USA, has died after suffering an unexpected medical emergency while filming the reality show in Fiji.

The 40-year-old reportedly passed away last week during production of the show’s eighth season.

ITV America and Peacock confirmed his death, describing it as an “unimaginable loss” and announcing that he will be honored in an upcoming episode.

Barker had worked on more than 110 episodes of Love Island USA and several other reality TV shows throughout his career.
