Liverpool have reached an agreement in principle with Paris Saint-Germain to sign France international Bradley Barcola in a deal worth up to £120 million.
The proposed package is understood to include more than £100 million in guaranteed payments, with performance-related add-ons taking the overall value to around £120 million.
The club made a breakthrough with Paris Saint-Germain overnight after weeks of negotiations to try to bring down the European championsâ valuation, which started at £145m.
Barcola, 23, has been the top target for several months as Liverpool look to replace Mohamed Salah after his move to Trabzonspor.
They previously targeted â and had a bid rejected for â Yan Diomande, who ended up at Real Madrid.
Negotiations have been led by sporting director Richard Hughes and Fenway Sports Group president Mike Gordon.
Barcola joined PSG from Lyon in 2023 and has been a huge success for the Ligue 1 powerhouses, making 152 appearances, scoring 39 goals and registering 37 assists.
The Frenchman won several trophies in Paris, including three league titles, two Champions Leagues and two French Cups.
The 23-year-old would become Liverpool’s fourth summer signing after the arrivals of Jeremy Jacquet, Victor Munoz and Ronald Araujo.
