Former Kano State governor and vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, on Friday, met with the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, at his Abuja residence.

Naija News reports that Kwankwaso disclosed this in a post on his 𝕏 handle on Saturday. He said the meeting focused on key partisan and national issues.

Kwankwaso said he welcomed Obi back from what he described as a productive international trip.

He stated, “Yesterday, I had the honour of hosting my brother and partner, His Excellency Peter Obi, at my residence in Abuja.

“I warmly welcomed him back from his highly productive international trip, and we engaged in frank and productive discussions on key partisan and national issues.”

The former Kano governor said the NDC remained united despite political differences among its leaders.

He urged party leaders to demonstrate maturity, make sacrifices and tolerate differences in pursuit of their shared goal.

Kwankwaso added, “Our party, the National Democratic Congress (NDC), remains united. As leaders, we must continue to demonstrate maturity by making the necessary sacrifices and tolerating our differences in pursuit of our shared goal.

“We are resolute in this mission, and together, we shall ensure that Nigeria is OK.”
