Kudirat Balogun: From boardroom executive to Ogun APC deputy candidate

Mrs. Kudirat Abiodun Balogun (née Adegunwa) is the deputy governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State.

She is a senior finance and business expert with over 30 years of experience in leadership, corporate finance, and management.

She studied Computer Science at the University of Lagos and later earned an MBA in Finance from Bayes Business School in London. She is also a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) in the United Kingdom. In addition, she has attended leadership and management programmes at Harvard Business School and the Wharton School.

She currently works as the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director for Finance and Information Technology at Rite Foods Limited, a major Nigerian food and beverage manufacturing company. In this role, she manages finance, IT, risk, planning, and business operations.

During her career, she has helped grow Rite Foods into a large company valued at over ₦500 billion.

She has been involved in improving financial systems, supporting expansion projects, and strengthening the company’s operations.

She is experienced in corporate finance, risk management, digital transformation, and business strategy.

She has also led major financing and development projects that support local manufacturing and economic growth.

Mrs. Balogun is known for strong leadership during difficult economic periods, including times of inflation and currency challenges in Nigeria. She is respected for her financial discipline and management skills.

Beyond her professional work, she supports women empowerment, youth development, and entrepreneurship. She also mentors young professionals, especially women, encouraging them to take leadership roles and succeed in business.

She believes in integrity, accountability, and good leadership, and she has been active in community and development initiatives.

As the APC deputy governorship candidate in Ogun State, she says she wants to use her experience in business and finance to support economic growth, job creation, and development in the state.

She is married with children and says her family values guide her commitment to leadership and service.
