Iran: Our Neighbors Should Know That Providing A Base To Americans Is Unacceptable -Akraminia

According to a report by The Times of Israel on July 16, 2026, Iran’s army declared that it would continue resisting what it described as American intervention in the region, insisting its forces would “undoubtedly resist until the end and will neutralize American interventions in the region.”

Iranian army spokesman Brigadier General Mohammad Akraminia said the Strait of Hormuz would only be reopened if the United States fulfills the 14-point memorandum of understanding signed by both countries in June. He also stated that Washington must implement what he described as “Iranian regulations” governing maritime traffic through the strategic waterway before shipping operations could resume.

Akraminia also warned that any decision by US President Donald Trump to carry out strikes against Iran’s infrastructure would trigger a broader and more destructive military response. According to him, Iran’s armed forces would retaliate by attacking “all remaining infrastructure” across the region if such threats were carried out.

He further said Iran’s response would exceed the scale of previous operations, describing it as more severe, more extensive and capable of causing greater destruction than earlier attacks.

The Iranian army also announced that it had launched attacks against US military bases located in Kuwait and Jordan. The military accused neighboring countries of facilitating American operations against Iran by allowing their territories to be used as launch points for attacks.

In its statement, the army warned regional governments against supporting future US military actions, saying such cooperation would invite retaliation.

“Our neighbors should know that providing a base to the Americans and allowing them to fire on Iranian soil is unacceptable and will not go unanswered,” Iran’s army says…....
