‘Igbos Should Not Waste Their Vote Again’ – Soludo Endorses Tinubu’s Re-election

Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has declared support for the second-term bid of President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 election.

Naija News reports that Soludo endorsed Tinubu on Monday in Ebonyi State at the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally, saying there will be no more wasting of votes.

The former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) urged Igbos not to waste their votes again in the forthcoming election or play the politics of lamentation.

According to Soludo, progressives are now working together for the collective interest of the country and the region, and the people of the South-East must align with mainstream national politics.

He added that the South-East operated as a reliable voting bloc for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a strategy aimed at securing federal relevance.

He said, “No more wasting of votes again. I’m endorsing President Tinubu for a second term. I stand in solidarity because progressives are working together. Igbos should not waste their vote again.”

In other news, lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, Adams Oshiomhole, has claimed that President Bola Tinubu cannot openly criticise the administration of his predecessor, the late Muhammadu Buhari, because he played a key role in bringing him to power.

Naija News reports that Oshiomhole spoke in an interview on The Mic On Podcast on Sunday,

He argued that Buhari and Tinubu differ significantly in their approach to policymaking.

However, he stated that Tinubu could not criticise Buhari because of his role in helping him become president.

Oshiomhole claimed that Tinubu was not allowed to nominate anyone to Buhari’s government.

The lawmaker recalled a statement he made during Tinubu’s 2022 presidential campaign, in which he declared that the former Lagos State governor would not run on Buhari’s record.
