I Was Born In N’Delta, I Maintain Multiple Ethnicities,Part Of Me Is Yoruba,I’m Igbo By Music—Sowore

Human rights activist and former presidential candidate, Omoyele Sowore, has described himself as a Nigerian with multiple ethnic connections, saying he was born in the Niger Delta and identifies with different cultures across the country.

In a video shared by SYMFONI TV, speaking during an interview with journalists while reacting to comments made by Sunday Igboho over the recent Oyo school abductions, Sowore said he sees himself as partly Yoruba, Hausa, and Ijaw, while adding that music connects him to the Igbo people and his fashion sense reflects Igala culture.

Sowore explained that he supports anyone willing to contribute to solving Nigeria’s problems, provided such individuals are not involved in criminal activities.
