I Was At Work When Someone Called Me That My Wife Has Been Caught Trying To Kidnap Children -Husband

In a video shared by Arise News on Tuesday, June 23, 2026, angry mobs in Maraban Jos, Kaduna State, have murdered an Islamic teacher, Ummulkhairi Usman, over allegations of child theft.

According to reports, the Islamic teacher, Ummulkhairi Usman, was on her way to an Islamic lecture, so she asked for directions from some kids and was mistaken for a kidnapper, and then angry mobs grabbed her and burnt her to death.

However, in the video, Aliyu Mohammed, husband to the victim, called for justice, revealing that he has been unable to grasp the reality of his wife’s death.

Mohammed disclosed that he was at work when he received a call that his wife had been caught trying to abduct some children, and he immediately sent one of his friends to the scene.

In his words, “I was at work when someone called me and said my wife has been caught trying to kidnap children. I called a friend and asked him to go there before I arrived.”
