“I want my husband’s remains…” – Widow of slain Oyo teacher cries out

A widow of viral Oyo teacher, Mrs Mary Oyedokun, has appealed to the government and security agencies following the death of her husband, who was allegedly killed during a recent school attack in Oyo State.

The tragic incident reportedly followed coordinated attacks on schools in Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State.

The affected schools include Community High School, Ahoro-Esiele, L.A. Primary School, Esiele, and Baptist Nursery and Primary School, Yawota. During the attacks, dozens of pupils and teachers were said to have been abducted by the assailants.

Tension escalated after a video allegedly showing the killing of Mr Michael Oyedokun surfaced online and spread across social media, sparking widespread outrage.

Emotional Appeal From the Widow

In a heart-wrenching video, Mrs Oyedokun pleaded with authorities to recover her husband’s remains so he could be given a proper burial.

She said:

“I am begging the government to please recover the body of my husband. I want him to have a burial site for future reference.”
