A Nigerian woman has sparked widespread debate on social media after defending controversial remarks she made about infidelity and marriage.

The woman came under criticism after an earlier post in which she stated that she “could not wait to get married” so she could cheat on her husband. The comment drew mixed reactions online, with many users condemning the statement.

Responding to the backlash in a follow-up video, she questioned why people were offended by her views, arguing that women, like men, can naturally desire more than one romantic partner.

According to her, society often portrays polygamous tendencies as something associated only with men, whereas some women also experience similar feelings.

She claimed that she has always considered herself “polygamous in nature,” insisting that being attracted to more than one person has been part of her personality since her earliest relationships.

The woman said she has never been satisfied with having only one romantic partner and suggested that marriage would not automatically change that aspect of her life.

“So you think it is only men that are polygamous in nature? Since when they born me I have been polygamous in nature. One man no dey do me. One person no dey do me, okay? So I equally know say for marriage man no go do me.

“So what are you people saying? That I should hide my own polygamy because of wetin you people go talk?

“I have been very, very polygamous in nature right from when I had my first boyfriend. One man no dey do me.”
