“How much did they pay you?” – Man calls out father of late nurse Mary Habila

A man has called out the father of late nurse Mary Habila after he publicly rejected an autopsy request and appealed for the release of his daughter’s body for burial.

In a post shared on X by @ogunmusi, the man questioned why Tanko Habila Wisdom would want the matter brought to an end despite the death of his daughter.

Man questions father’s decision

The X user expressed disbelief over the father’s decision, stating that Mary Habila was someone the family had raised for over two decades and should not be treated lightly.

He wrote: “They killed your daughter and you went to withdraw the case. I mean someone you raise for 20 years plus.. Not a Dog, Not a Goat, Your daughter? How much can they even pay you to make the case go away?”

Father had rejected autopsy request

The comment came after Mary Habila’s father said he was not suspecting anyone of wrongdoing and only wanted his daughter’s remains released for burial.

Tanko Habila Wisdom, in a video circulating online, said his only request was to take his daughter’s body home and give her a proper burial.

“I am Tanko Habila Wisdom, the father of the late Mary Habila. I don’t have much to say in this case, all that I want is the corpse of my daughter,” he said.

Mary Habila’s father speaks on relationship with workplace

The grieving father explained that his family had maintained a cordial relationship with the Minister of Works and his daughter’s workplace, adding that he was not accusing anyone over her death.

“We have been having very cordial relationship with the Minister of Works, her workplace and we don’t want that autopsy they are talking about,” he stated.

Reactions trail father’s statement

Tanko also insisted that he does not suspect anyone, saying death can happen at any time.

“I am not suspecting anybody because death can occur at anytime even as we are standing here and now, one can fall here and die,” he added.

The father’s position has sparked mixed reactions online, with some people supporting his decision while others are calling for further investigation into the circumstances surrounding Mary Habila’s death.
