Speaking in the wake of recent kidnapping incidents and subsequent rescue operations within Abia State, Hon. Aguocha raised an urgent alarm regarding expanding banditry networks. He warned that the security threats currently impacting states like Oyo and parts of northern Nigeria are actively encroaching upon Igbo territory.

“Insurgency is coming to Ala Igbo and what I am saying is that we should defend our families and communities,” Aguocha stated. “We can no longer say it silently because if we keep quiet, these people can come in and strangle us in our sleep. This thing that is happening in Oyo and other places has started here and we cannot keep quiet. We must rise in defense of our communities.”
