“Help me starch…” — Lady shares how her husband’s friend overstepped boundaries

A domestic disagreement has gone viral on social media after a woman narrated how her husband’s friend caused tension in her marriage.

The woman shared her experience online, explaining that her husband allowed a childhood friend to stay with them temporarily while he searched for accommodation.

What began as a brief arrangement reportedly escalated into repeated misunderstandings and rising frustration within the home.

Two-week stay turns tense

According to her account, issues began on the third day when she noticed the guest’s habits around the house. She claimed he refused to clear his dishes and expected her to do it.

By the fifth day, she said the situation worsened after a complaint about food portions served to him. She quoted him as saying, “in his house, men don’t eat “naked swallow.” Naked swallow on top two piece of meat.”

She added that her husband appeared unconcerned at the time, responding, “Babe, please just add small brisket for him, you know how boys stay.”

Rising frustration in the home

The woman further explained that she expected her husband to set boundaries, but felt ignored as the behaviour continued.

She said the situation reached a breaking point when the guest allegedly knocked on their bedroom door late at night requesting help with laundry.

He was quoted as saying, “Please help me starch the native trousers, the dry cleaner down the street wants to ruin the material.”

Final confrontation and eviction

She stated that instead of complying, she took the clothes and disposed of them in the kitchen bin, describing it as her final response to the situation.

When questioned by her husband, she reportedly replied that he should handle his friend’s behaviour himself since he had failed to correct it.

She added that she warned the guest to leave the house immediately, saying she was no longer willing to tolerate the situation.

The woman concluded that the guest eventually left the house, while her husband retreated to the room following the confrontation.
