Father stabbed to de@th by his son inside Long Island apartment
A Long Island man was stabbed repeatedly in the gut by his adult son and managed to crawl to a phone as he was dying to call police, officials said.
Sage Arias-Brown, 33, allegedly broke into his father, 69-year-old Edward Brown’s Mastic apartment at around 12:30 a.m. on Monday, September 7, then stabbed him multiple times in the abdomen and chest before fleeing, according to Suffolk County prosecutors.
“A witness heard [Arias-Brown] gain entry into the apartment and heard [Brown] screaming for help — the witness then saw him exit the building,” Assistant District Attorney Melissa Grier told the court as the scowling accused k!ller, who arrived at court in a worn track suit, fidgeted throughout the arraignment.
After being stabbed multiple times, Brown somehow mustered up the strength to make it to the phone and call 911 to report the brutal attack before collapsing as he waited for help to arrive, Grier explained.
Brown was declared de@d at the scene, prosecutors said.
Details of what exactly unfolded inside the apartment and whether there was any confrontation that led to the violence remains unclear.
Arias-Brown was arrested just blocks away from his father’s apartment a short time after the k!lling, according to police.

He pleaded not guilty to second-degree murd£r and was remanded without bail on Tuesday, September 8, and is due back in court on Friday, September 11.
Aria-Brown’s attorney, Katherine Fernandez, said he has a history of mental illness and an open robbery case.
