Deeper Life Member Sparks Debate After Mocking Christians Who Leave for Christ Embassy
A member of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry has stirred reactions on social media after criticising Christians who leave churches such as Deeper Life, the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Movement, and Watchman Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement to join Christ Embassy.
The woman made the remarks in a post shared on Facebook, where she questioned claims by some believers that the Holy Spirit led them to leave their former churches.
In the viral post, she wrote:
“You left Deeper Life, Chosen or even Watchman to Christ Embassy. And yet you are still shouting, ‘The Holy Spirit led me.’ Ok oh. Your opinion is valid. You were truly led, my sister.”
The post quickly generated mixed reactions, with many social media users debating whether changing churches is a matter of personal conviction or a reflection of changing spiritual priorities.
In an earlier post, the woman also questioned how anyone could leave Deeper Life for another church in the name of spiritual freedom.
According to her, the desire for a more worldly lifestyle is often the real reason behind such decisions.
“It’s the attraction to worldliness that can make one leave Deeper Life,” she wrote.
Her comments have continued to spark discussions online, with some users agreeing that believers should remain committed to churches they believe uphold strict biblical standards, while others argued that individuals are free to worship wherever they believe they can best grow spiritually.
The debate has also reignited broader conversations about church migration, denominational differences and the role of personal conviction in choosing a place of worship.
