China Has Banned Marco Rubio – So How Did He Travel To Beijing With Trump?
Rubio has long been one of Washington’s strongest critics of Beijing, particularly on issues like Hong Kong, Xinjiang, and Taiwan. In 2020, China imposed sanctions on him in retaliation for US actions against Chinese officials. However, since becoming secretary of state, Rubio has adopted a more pragmatic tone, supporting Trump’s efforts to stabilize relations with Xi Jinping.
